Redemption for Flappy Dan! Sicknotes turn to stand in the corner wearing a pointy hat for his clumsy strippoff during the opening minutes while watching the leading scorer stroll in and score his ninth goal in five games (his first from more than a yard out). If not for the return to form of BRS, this could have (should have) been a very one-sided match. For every ten chances blue missed, BRS scored - bloody annoying.

Reds win! Reds win! And we may just be able to acredit this win to some decent play rather than horrendous blue errors. Well, maybe. It sat deadlocked at 2 -2 for most of the game until a devastating header from big Ed put Red out in front (wrong net Ed!). To be fair, the favor was repaid in full with Red Eric smashing the equalizer into his own net with only minutes to play. In the end, it did come down to one final goaltending error... flappy Dan doing his best impersonation of a gangly teenage girl learning to play netball. Predictable and annoying, the ball fell to Psycho who had taken up his now standard position on the goal line to tap in his third of the evening from less than a yard as the final whistle sounded.

Even with the Psycho charging his way to the top of the goals table on the back of another two goal outing, the Reds were yet again denied the sweet taste of victory. < cliches=""> It was a game of two halves < /cliches>. BRS lazed about and scored a goal for Reds in the first half. With the score Red 3 Blue 1, he changed shirts and lazed around and scored for Blues in the second half. Quite possibly deserving of a special mention for being so lazy. In the end the result had little to do with lazy Steve and more to do with Reds being unable to hold on to a 5-2 lead. For the second week running, the outcome was decided by a sublime goal worthy of MotM, and just maybe we're a little closer to forgiving Carl for his mare of a performance three weeks ago.
